Vasantotsava 2008

Our SGM was very efficient in accepting all the three proposed resolutions and the Kaveri members passed these resolutions unanimously. The first proposal was related to accepting the sub-committee report on 'Long term planning for Kaveri' and it's recommendations. Second proposal, was to replace the current article 9 of the Kaveri by-laws with Appendix A of the report, which replaced Board of Advisers with Board Of Trustees (BOT). The modified Kaveri Constitution document would be uploaded to our website soon. As part of the third resolution, KEC 2008 had proposed the following names and the general body approved these members, as board of trustees for Kaveri.
We wish to thank the above members for accepting this responsibility. We are convinced that this is a great team, who will work together to bring the best vision to Kaveri, as outlined in the report. KEC 2008 extends their thanks to all the members of the Kaveri who actively participated in the SGM. It was great to see more than 25 kids participation in the Chitra-Kale competition. See the sample pictures below. Thanks to Haridas Lahari, Nutan Doddbele & Maya Harapanahalli, who organized and managed this event. Nintendo Wii games were of lot of fun for kids, which was organized by KYC coordinator Harsha Gopal. James & Ramu have completed the initial rounds of carrom competitions and finals will be played soon. Both drama troupes (Mayavi Sarovara & Shapatha) gave splendid performances and were very much appreciated by the audience. Their effort/planning were very evident in these great shows. Dance programs performed by Kaveri kids & youth were great too. Event photos and some videos will be uploaded to our website soon. Again special thanks to all the directors, artists, volunteers and the sponsors for making this event function so enjoyable. Let us know your thoughts on our discussion forum. Regards, Shivu, on behalf of KEC08 |
